Join us for a casual service to explore and enhance our spiritual gifts - everyone is welcome. Joyful Journeys (Children’s Church) - After the children’s sermon, children are invited to participate in their own hands-on worship service, returning before communion. 9:00am Adult Sunday School — two classes meet each week — check them out to determine which meets your personal walk of faith. Welcome to Christ’s community of followers here at A Mighty Fortress. We’ve been in NW Charlotte since 1963.
Whether you’re a seasoned follower of Jesus or just starting out, followers of our Lord need a church community in which to flourish and grow. Even with all our collective & diverse worth and shortcomings, Jesus insists upon calling groups into ministry & mission together through his grace. In Holy Communion, the body of Christ is always given “for y’all” (in the plural) and never for individuals on a solitary path. A congregation worth its salt is one where members learn about Jesus and his unusual, subversive, life-giving call upon their lives. This is always a process that is never finished or limited for any of us. You are welcome here regardless of past mistakes you’ve made, theological questions you bring, or personal suspicions you might have about the word “church.”
